i reserved a room for 4 people, paid the 10% deposit, went to the place, and they just said "we can't accept your reservation" cause they overbooked, they promise to give the money back, but they don't.
that's not good.
the place doesn't seems like nice at all.

I stayed at the Cherry for 4 nights. I reserved a 4 bed dorm and got an 8 ded dorm. Price good but horrid place. The staff were rude and generally not helpful. The staff actually live there and not in their own rooms. They sleep any place free like the guest loungroom, balcony with the dog, Hostel entrance lounge.
The bathrooms were not the same ones they list on the website. Showers so small you could not bend over to pick up shampoo bottles and i only weigh 52 kgs.
As far as the guest lounge goes I did not see at any time the guests using it. The staff had taken over the TV and lounges either awake or asleep.
The only thing good about the place was the people I met there and the fun had with them in Roma.
The night before departure I requested to hand in the key for refund of key deposit. 10 euro. I was refused this and told to ask in the morning. I had to wake up the staff member at 6am from her balcony\ outdoor bench\ bed where she was sleeping with the dog. She said she did not have the 10euro so I had to walk to another hostel to collect the refund. I do not recommend this Hostel unless you are desperate. Look elsewhere. Happy travels

me & my friend came in cherry hostel and we stayed a nice vacation. we meet a lot of people all over the world. I am so happy staying in this hostel. go back again.

The hostel office as well as some rooms is located on via Napoleone. However, we got our room for 5 people in other place, not far from the office. It had 3 other rooms, 2 bathrooms. The accommodation had a kitchen, which could be used for cooking. Breakfast was very simple (toasts, jam, coffee, milk), but we could eat as much as we wanted.
The place was not far from the train station. It was possible to store our bags after we checked out.
Overall I found this place good: it was clean, good location (not only to the train station, but also it was relatively close to Colloseum), breakfast, linen and towels were included in the price.

Cherry pensionhouse is a system of separate appartments. We stayed in room "Angelie" with bathroom and breakfast, which seems to be in the red light district, maybe even part of it(?). I do not complain about the tidyness of the room, but about the service. When we arrived (11 a.m.) one of the service-women was sleeping in our room. We never had warm water, even after we had asked for it, because the service-women were using all of it. They turned off electricity that we could not read in our room. We had to make breakfast ourselves and also wash our dishes in a messy kitchen, did not get sugar for our coffee and were not aloud to use the chair in the corridor.
Safety of valuables: we were told by the "padrone", that nobody besides us and the two service women were stayig in the appartmet, but we could hear men's voices at night between 12 midnight and 3 a.m.shouting around waking us up. Friends or customers of the service-ladies??
One other appartment in the pensionhouse-system seemed to be a normal youth hostel....

We have visited Rome in May 2008. (mother and daughter) We had booked a dubbelroom with private bathroom. We got a room at the other site of the street in Astro Pensionhouse. The room was clean and the people were very friendly. The pensionhouse was very near to the termini. When we visit Rome again, we will surely book this pension again.

the house is good but our room was flooded. From one wall in a corner came water all the time in our room. The stuff was friendly but not able to give us another room or fix it in three days ;-( so we had to put blankets in the water otherwise you get wet feet when you get up ...
and in the bath room there was two days dog shit in the morning ....
