Comments (English):
The location of the Park Hotel is excellent, as it provides many opportunities for shopping on Nanjing Road (e.g. Department Store Nr. 1) and the Bund is within walking distance. The breakfast buffet at the hotel is very good and there are many good restaurants nearby (both Chinese and Western cuisine). I also like to stay at he Park Hotel because of its interesting history. It was the tallest hotel in Asia for many years and celebrities such as Henry Kissinger stayed there.

Nice and charming historic Shanghai Hotel.
Chinese owned and run, so don't expect same service as in international hotels.
Really good location.

I have ´visited Park Hotel in Shangahai several times during 6 years. I have experienced how the management at this hotel gradually has deteriorated. Not very much is now working and the personnel are quite arrogant. Breakfast is lousy. Choose another hotel.

Comments (English):
Ameneties are decent for a business hotel in this price class. The draw for this hotel is apparently more around it's historical nature and location in the central part of Puxi. The room was certainly clean, comfortable and well-maintained, and the staff was fine. I did not like the neighborhood-being hustled for massages right in front of the hotel and all the way down Nanking Road.

Comments (English):
Park Hotel Shanghai is an icon in the local hotel scene. More Shanghai is
not possible; Park Hotel Shanghai IS Shanghai.
The connection to Pudong Airport and the city in general is excellent.
I love it!

Comments (English):
We were handled by very experienced receptionsist, she recommended us to upgrade to a bigger with additional charges of RMB100. The room is very spacious clean, it is really beyond our expectation of having such a big room in the mid town of Shanghai.
We will surely comeback and request that particular room again on my next visit. If I am not mistaken the room number is 703 and 704.....

Comments (English):
Heritage hotel. Dark wood panels and a large spherical lamp in the rooms take you back to the 1930s. Burnt red-brick facade gives it a distinct landmark appearance from outside. Front desk and other staff in the hotel are passable. Sex touts /pimps loitering outside the hotel door is a nuisance and a potential trap for the vulnerable. Standard (cheapest) rooms do not face the People's Park and so these rooms do not get great views.
