The staff was extremely friendly. They even cut me a deal when I didn't make my return flight home. The private rooms were very nice. It's a little further away than the other spots, but this one seemed to have better upkeep.

Alberto and his sons were very accommodating and the hotel is quaint with a nice pool to take a break from the salt water and sand. It's a bit far from the beach, but it's such a small town with not much else to do but surfing, that it's nice to take the time to walk to the beach anyway.

The rooms had hot water and AC. The dorm I was in had a nice kitchen as well. I would definitely come back to stay here! Great family run hotel.

This was the nicest Hostel I have stayed at thus far. The staff was very friendly, helpful and understanding. Very clean and adequate for our needs .Nice pool and court yard. The next time I visit Tamerindo , I will definately stay at the chocolate . Also I recommend you to take surf lessons 3 doors down .

After trying half adozen hostels I found this place and stayed.
Professional,tranquil,and full amenities at a budget price,it was exactly
what I wanted.

from Hotel Chocolate.
