I stayed two weeks in Pousada Bonita in Rio de Janeiro and it was great. Nice people, clean rooms, cheap price and lots of extra's like a swimming pool, washing machine, bbq. And perfectly located nearby the metro.
You should definitely take a trip in the little yellow tram which goes up the whole area of Santa Teresa.
So this Pousada/guesthouse is definitely recommendable!!

Thank you so much for the GREAT welcome during our stay in Rio! The staff was super friendly and helpful, they gave us the best advise on short trips and getting around the city. Their interaction with the other guests was also great, they really know how to make people feel welcome and create a relaxed atmosphere.
We enjoyed Rio to the max in this clean and homey environment. The pool was also great to cool off after a day in the city.
