Rudy and Monica have one of the warmest and friendliest hostels I've visited. It was awesome to have such a great place to come home to every night after exploring the town and surrounding. They would often have the fire going; we'd sit around and chat and maybe have a drink with whatever friends were visiting before heading to bed.

Given his background and the work that he's done, Rudy knows the area well and has connections in the local villages. He took a friend and I to two of the surrounding villages, gave us a tour of the towns, taught us about the customs, and introduced us to a family living there. We are incredibly grateful that he took the time to share his knowledge and relationships with the people in this area.

I had a wonderful experience at this hostel. It has a great atmoshpere, with its bright colours and open space, communak kitchen. I felt very comfortable.. clean rooms and shared spaces - everything was newly renovated. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, great hosts! Also it is very conveniently located, central and next to Santo Domingo, the amazing artesanal market. I met a lot of greeat people here, good memories. I highly recommend the hostel!!

I had a wonderful time in Iguana Hostel!!! It's a much more, then just place to stay and to sleep 1-2 nights. This place is full filled fith great atmosphere and harmony. Their owners - Rudy and Monica (and their great child) are so sweet, so helpful and friendly to each guest that knock at their door. Just after the entering the door, you got to some big home for a lot of travellers. You will never feel boring here. Always someone can find some guitar or interesting story about their crazy travelling.
You will be happy, staying in this hostel
Apart of atmoshpere, it's wise to mention, that rooms are clean and cozy, blankets are thick and breakfast are very very tasty and rich, with lots of fruits and some national mexican plates ))
So all backpackers and travellers will get all they need and even more, once staying in this place )))))
