Comments (English): Do NOT trust Bed & Breakfast Traveller!!!!!!
I reserved 2 rooms at the Arabesque in Cairo, Egypt via Bed & Breakfast Traveller and paid their fee. However, when I arrived in Egypt the hotel had NO record of my reservations. Luckily, we had print outs of our transaction. The Arabesque hotel found us rooms for the prices quoted. I believe B&B Traveller owes me a refund since they did nothing to secure my reservation!
As for the Arabesque, it was very nice. The rooms, while old, were clean and maintained. The staff was excellent even when one of our party had a literal meltdown (his converter shorted out the room!) they were calm, kind, and considerate. It is located just steps away from the Cairo Museum. The staff directed us to shopping and a great restaurant just a few blocks away. Not the quietest place in town because Cairo never sleeps and we heard a lot of street noise at night, but the hotel was quiet. Best deal for internet access and a faster connection then I found at some 5 star hotels we used later in the trip. We were gone early each day so never got a chance to sample their meals. I'd stay at Arabesque again if we are lucky enough to return to Egypt.
