Comments (English): Josephine Guest House at Jalan Iskandarsyah, Jakarta is a nice place to stay especially if you want some peace and quiet. It is located in a residential area (posh bungalows) and I think this was a bungalow turned into a guest house. You have to walk to the main road about 150 meters to the main road if you want to see the hustle bustle of the Jakarta city. Excellent transportation if you want to go to your whereabouts but the streets may be a little dusty and the traffic at times coming to a standstill with old buses emitting choking exhaust fumes.
They have a new transportation system - the Trans Jakarta which which takes to every corridor of the Jakarta metropolitan city of ~ 20 million which is an added bonus for easy and cheap transport.
All in all I enjoyed my short stay at the Josephine Guesthouse with the friendly atmosphere there good TV coverage - Discovery Channel, National Geographic, etc, etc. and nice morning breakfast.
