Comments (English):
Peru is a wiered objective to travel. By bus you can see things that can scare you and at the same time fascinates... I travelled in bus with all kind of people of the Altiplano Andino. People came up with a basket with a whole roasted lamb in it, and sell it by pieces. (of course all this served with the hand in a plastic bag and you eated the same way). In Casa de Avila the people was very kind, a lot of "gringos" there, learning spanish

100% Recomendable. Trato del personal excelente, limpieza y mucho orden. A unas cuantas cuadras de la plaza, pero totalmente caminables en el dia.

Comments (English):
The staff at Casa de Avila were very friendly, especially Rachel. The courtyard was a nice place to hang out and though the hostel location was a little ways away from the plaza de armas area, it was still within an easy walking distance. On top of all that, it was nice to have a hot shower (most the time) and English news in the room. Definitely recommend.

We spent in Casa De Avile 2 nigths into different rooms. Both rooms were nice, comfortable and clean, good the breakfast and the staff were convivial and very disposable. Even the location was enough good!!

Comments (English):
A lovely hostel situated 4 blocks from Plaza de Armas. Staff are freindly, they did have a problem with the hot water when we were there but transferred us into another room. Arranged rafting for us and were generally very helpful.
The hostel itself is great, lovely garden, 3 x internet pc's which is good as it's a big place, nice breakfasts and other meals can be ordered during the day if you decide to hang around rather than go out.
Would definitely recommend it
