"Best Place to stay in Lourdes, France"

Appart Hotel Victoria Garden, is an excellent place to stay if you are visiting Lourdes for a few days or for longer periods. Well-situated in the central part of town, the hotel is within 10 minutes walking distance to the sanctuary, local museums, and excellent tourist restaurants. In fact there are fine restaurants on the same block as the hotel.

Transportation is very easy in this part of town. If you are arriving by car, the hotel can arrange parking for you in a garage next door. The appart-hotel itself is large enough to accommodate individual guests or large groups traveling on pilgrimage tours. Our particular unit was a spacious apartment situated on the 5th floor. Elevators make access easy, even for handicapped visitors. From this level we had a direct view of the Sanctuary and Basilicas, which are about a quarter mile away. Our apartment included a loft bedroom and extra beds on the main level, which included a kitchen and dining area. Off the main lobby of the hotel are a washing machine and dryer, which makes this a particularly good location for stays longer than a couple of days. The rooms are clean and appointed with functional furniture and comfortable beds, which is important to know if you are traveling from city to city in France. The bathrooms have a tub and shower, which are not always found in lodgings in this part of France. Another important feature is that our apartment is extremely quiet with the windows closed, although it is situated above a moderately busy street. An in-room air conditioner allows you to control the temperature of the room very efficiently.

We stay for 2 nights in the studio. The price is reasonable and room has daily cleaning service. There is electric oven and refrigerator and also kitchen ware. This is suitable for stay for a week and cook instant noodles or easy meal.
The location is quite far for senior to walk to the Grotto. The map to the hotel in internet is not clear enough. The way from Gare de Lourdes to hotel is complex. However, Lourdes is peaceful town and safe. You can walk at night.
The staff and people here are very nice and helpful, some can speak English.
We recommend this hotel for asian people who want budget hotel in Lourdes.
