To really explore Virunga Massif and truly experience rural Africans village life, staying overnight is a must.
So to arrange equipment easy, we have formed several itineraries (for groups of 2 or more) that comprise a range of actions – from a 2 day/1 nighttime stay in a home stay – up to a 6 day/5 nights stay including three days trekking and camping. Each package can be customized based on your interests.
Each itinerary includes a local guide as part of the package. He/she will help you get the most out of your stay at Red Rocks: showing you around the area, explaining more about our way of life, and acting as a translator when speaking with local people.
All your meals will be freshly all set by local women at our Women’s eating place (including picnic lunches if you will be away hiking or trekking). Overnight, you’ll stay in one our home stays with a local people, allowing you to join with real African and witness their everyday life.
